Take Ownership

To get that promotion at work isn't really rocket science.

Many go to work for the pay cheque at the end of the month. They do not really care much for the company, department that they are a part of.

Simply people are not taking ownership of what they are responsible for.

Let's put this in a different light. If your bed is damaged in your home, chances you will get it fix. If it's in a hotel room, chances are you won't bother about fixing it because it is not yours.

In the office, if you take ownership of your work, the way you think and view it will change. It becomes personal, something dear. Naturally, the desire to do better and improve things will flow out of you. Passion will be visible in the way you do things.

People will see, especially your superiors, and it will open doors of opportunities for you as you find favor with them.

So take ownership of what you are doing today. Set yourself up for promotion.

(After all if you to spend 9 hours/day at work, might as well love it.)

Activate Abundance

There is a common phrase: "you reap what you sow".

This is the law of harvest, farmers will know this well. If you want an apple tree, you have to plant apple seeds. Don't expect to get an apple tree from planting grape seeds.

Likewise if you want to be prosperous, one way is to sow generosity. When we are generous, our generosity will be returned to us. This is something that the rich know. The rich setup foundations for charity to help those in need. They do donate a hefty sum to these foundations, and they are not poorer. Amazingly, their wealth continues to grow.

On the contrary, when we horde our money, and close the lid of the jar so tightly until no money is able to get in or out. Whatever, is in the jar, that is all we have until we open up the lid to allow money to flow in. For more money to fill up the jar, some money need to go out to make room for more.

Until eventually, your money just fills up the jar until overflow. When money overflows, you will have more than enough to give away, and for yourself.

The seed you sow determines your harvest.

Be Prepared

In life we never can know for sure what will happen. Hence, it is always good to be prepared.

Often times car owners overlook the importance of checking the air pressure of the spare tire. Guess what? When a tire needs to be changed by the roadside, the spare tire is of not much help. Simply because the tire pressure is too low to support the weight of the car. The spare tire is FLAT!

If only the tire pressure of the spare is checked together with those in use, the scenario could have been avoided. Sometimes there are no tools in the car for a wheel change.

Do not take good times for granted, because you will never know when it halts.
So be prepared for the unexpected.

From a financial perspective, save during good times to buy the bargains during the bad times.

Impossible Is Nothing

If you can think of something, visualize it, it can happen.

There was time when it was said that man cannot fly. Then to even imagine traveling around the globe in 24 hours. Impossible at one point in time.

Thank goodness, someone dared to dream, dared to challenge the present reality. Today it is normal for us to fly from city to city around the world. Furthermore, we can circle the globe within 24 hours or less by air.

Dare to dream big. Dare to dream the impossible. Because you can see it happen in your mind, your heart, your gut, you can make it happen.

Nothing is impossible. Impossible is nothing!

Unleash Your Potential

Everyone one of us has the potential to achieve what others have yet to achieve.

To help us achieve the results we need to have the right vehicle to allow us to release our potential.

Let us take Michael Schumacher, 7 times Formula-1 world champion, 91 wins, 154 podium finishes, 68 pole positions, 76 fastest laps.

He is a champion Formula-1 driver. He drove for Ferrari and won races. If he drives a Daewoo, can he win? He is a champion driver, but can he? In a Daewoo? No... I don't think so. Your regular Daewoo isn't engineered for Formula-1. Put him in a Ferrari Formula-1, he can, and he will!

Put it another way, if swimming comes naturally to you and is your passion, being a taxi driver isn't going to unleash your potential as a swimmer. You got to go ahead try out for the state or national swimming team. Why? Because you have what it takes to set the next world record!

You have the potential to achieve greater things in life. You just need to find the right vehicle.

Focus Defines Results

Believe it or not the results we experience are directed by our thoughts, which are defined by our focus.

What separates the rich from the average? It is their focus. It is the way they view finances.

The average wage earner views finances as expenses to be paid. Where the focus is debt management. The rich view finances as a means to achieve greater results. Where the focus is on investment and accumulation of wealth. More need not be said about what the rich enjoy.

Simple truth yet profound.

Your focus defines your results, which are directed by your thinking.

Failure Is Difficult

Failure is one of the most difficult things to do in life.

Just rationalize it. Chances are you are thinking of how to be rich, how to do this, how to do that. These are thoughts of desiring to achieve something. Where is failure? It's unnatural.

When you fail, do you think of failing further? I believe not. Simply because you are designed for success.

What separates survivors from winners is the tenacity with which they overcome failure. Survivors just get out of failure and be contented. Whereas winners want more, they pick themselves up tenaciously and rise up to another level.

It is easier to succeed than to fail. It is your nature to succeed. Do not be fooled by the lies of the world.

Pick yourself up and fight tenaciously for success. You are designed for success!
